Swiss chard with the green

This is a good recipe to use Swiss chard. It is easy and if you omit the bacon it can make a good vegetarian dish. You may accompany it with rice or another starchy food.

Swiss chard with the green

Ingredients

 8 branches of whole chard
 200 g bacon
 2 diced fresh tomatoes
 1 onion, minced
 1 tbsp olive oil
 150 ml vegetables broth
  Cornstarch
  Salt and pepper

Directions

Wash the chard and separate the ribs from the green

Cut the ribs into 1 cm sections

Remove the damaged part of the green leaves and roll them on themselves to cut them into small strips

Switch the instant pot to mode browning

Fry the onion,

Add the bacon and green of the chard in a little oil

Add the diced tomato salt, pepper

Add the chard ribs with the broth

Switch the instant pot to pressure cooking mode 10min

At the end of cooking, add the cornstarch in a little water and mix well to thicken the sauce
